“It is only when you take responsibility for your life that you discover how powerful you truly are.” — Allanah Hunt
With great responsibility comes great power.
How much responsibility does a pet goldfish have? Not a lot, if any at all. It does not work. It does not try to learn new things. No one is depending on it – if it swims to one side of the bowl or the other, or stays in place, no one is affected. Its life is easy. But how much power does that fish have? It can’t make its life better. It can’t choose to go out and do new things. It may be happy as it is, but it can never improve.
Questions to ponder …
- Do you have more responsibility than a goldfish?
- What are some of the responsibilities you have?
- Can you use this responsibility to improve your life?
- Which would you rather have – your life or the goldfish’s life?
