“TO KEEP THE BODY IN GOOD HEALTH IS A DUTY, OTHERWISE WE SHALL NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP OUR MIND STRONG AND CLEAR.” — Buddha
Who here likes cookies? Me, too! But have you ever eaten too many cookies? How did it make you feel? You probably got a lot of energy from the sugar for a few minutes and then crashed and felt tired. It’s important to remember that good nutrition isn’t just important for our bodies, but for our brains. (But you can still eat cookies – just not for every meal!)
Ask Your Students:
1. How does your brain feel when you eat too much unhealthy food?
2. How does your brain feel when you do not eat enough good food?
3. What would happen to your body if you did not eat the food you needed to grow?
4. What do you think happens to your brain if you do not give it the right foods to grow?
